Data Analyst

As the Data Analyst, you would be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and business-relevant analysis for key stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong quantitative skills. Candidates with past experience working on a modern data stack including a warehouse and data modeling & visualization tools would be preferred.


Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of prior data / business analytics experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, data science, statistics, economics or a similar fields.
  • Expertise in building reports and dashboards leveraging data visualization tools.
  • Excellent SQL skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business needs and objectives and develop processes for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Select, configure and implement analytics solutions and build systems to transform raw data into desired outputs for business teams.
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decision.
  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes; recognize any data gaps/discrepancies that require immediate attention.
  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company.
  • Monitor data availability across internal tools and platforms and develop and execute processes for monitoring data quality.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels to establish current and ongoing data support and reporting needs.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in BigQuery, SQL, Excel, and Google Sheets .
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase).
  • Knowledge of Data Engineering preferred.
  • Comfortable with warehouse, transformation layer tools such as dbt, ETL and Reverse ETL.
  • Proficiency in tools including Amplitude, Tableau, Salesforce, Google Analytics etc.
  • Ability to lead a team, take ownership from conceptualization to execution.
