Business Development Representative - Channel Partnerships

We're looking for a Partners' Business Development Representative who can source high-quality agencies that have the propensity to become users and promoters of our product. We're looking for someone who has sales experience, understands the way service agencies think, and is motivated by numbers and goals.

Qualification:

  • 2+ years in sales experience
  • A background in software or working with a software company
  • A background in services or working with or alongside an agency
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create and execute a strategy to seek out and onboard new agency partners
  • Prospect agencies who meet the criteria of the types of agencies we want to partner with
  • Evaluate agencies on their level of know-how and expertise on a variety of topics
  • Onboard agencies and set expectations about the requirements and benefits of the program
  • Nurture prospective partners through timely and relevant communications that communicate why we think they'd be a great partner, and why we believe they'd succeed through partnering
  • Become an expert in the technology landscape that resonates with our products to generate connected agency partners in the space

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), high emotional IQ, and a drive to achieve
  • Flexibility to adjust your day-to-day to fit with the most critical tasks on hand
  • Personal success stories of building partner programs that drove positive ROI
  • Thirst for knowledge, a hunger for continuous learning, and an innate curiosity
  • Strong technical knowledge of software products and tech stacks
  • Experience following and executing a sales process
  • Knowledge of the telephony space  
Other essential qualities for this role:
  • Sales and public speaking are something you understand and enjoy
  • You've had agency experience or experience helping agencies reach their goals
  • You’re curious and enjoy learning about different businesses and industries
  • You’ve got a thirst for knowledge, and are keen to understand our app
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit: You work best when there is less structure and enjoy the process of building something from scratch
  • You enjoy the process of setting challenging goals and creating a plan to hit them
  • Great listening/evaluating skills to help gather the potential of partner companies before they join our programs
