The Impact this role will have
This role is pivotal in enhancing SaaS Labs’s product and defining clear market differentiators, enabling us to capitalize on industry shifts driven by AI and tech consolidation. You will shape our product design to meet these changes and position SaaS Labs as a market leader. Your efforts will elevate the UX of our platform, driving user engagement and conversion. By implementing new design frameworks and continuous learning processes, you will transform SaaS Labs into a design-led organization where exceptional user experience is paramount.
What you will do:
- Lead and Inspire the Design Team: Guide and motivate a team of product designers to deliver outstanding user experiences and drive innovation.
- Drive Design Innovation and Market Differentiation: Establish clear differentiators for SaaS Labs through cutting-edge design strategies and innovative frameworks.
- Enhance User Experience (UX): Collaborate with product leads to continuously improve the UX of the integrated JustCall platform.
- Implement and Improve Design Processes: Rapidly evaluate and enhance existing UX using new design systems, frameworks, and continuous learning processes.
- Transform UX Across SaaS Labs: Own and revolutionize UX from end-to-end, embedding design thinking and establishing user experience as a core value in decision making.
- Build and Scale the Product Design Organization: Foster an innovative design culture, identify skill gaps, create pod-like structures, and set design KPIs to measure success.
- Develop and Mentor Design Talent: Invest in the growth of product designers, establish design and user research frameworks, and create a learning culture to confidently solve hard problems.
- Optimize Product Workflows: Simplify product workflows to reduce support costs and early-stage churn, positioning SaaS Labs as a premier destination for talented designers.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong experience leading product design, with expertise in complex B2B or B2C SaaS products
- A track record of elevating user experience at early stage growth companies
- Experience setting up frameworks, design systems, and learning loops
- Excellent understanding of product design and the ability to simplify user journeys.
- Strong leadership skills to drive a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to zoom in (be hands-on) and zoom out (see long-term vision) with ease.
- A keen eye for design quality and consumer-grade experiences
- The ability to drive change through influence and cross-functional partnership
