At SaaS Labs, product design is one role. We believe the best designs come from someone who can see it all through, from ideas to visuals to the building of the finished product ready to be handed over.
We require designers who are generalists collaborating across our team. Apart from excellent visual stylists and writers, we expect them to have a basic understanding of the business and the markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing - As a product designer, you’ll be working on the web/mobile interfaces across SaaS Labs’ portfolio of products. You might be improving an existing feature, designing something totally brand new, or rethinking how we do something.
- Ownership - There is little micromanagement here. On the basis of weekly and monthly meetings, you’ll set direction, take ownership, make calls, and see things through without a lot of oversight. You’ll be able to communicate clearly with your colleagues, work across teams, and lend a helping hand when needed.
- Documentation - Putting together what you’re working on, and why, as a playbook is an essential process. For every major product feature being rolled out/changed, this working book keeps a history of every implementation and the reason behind it.
Skills:
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience as a UX/Product Designer, building and shipping web and mobile apps/features.
- Prototype skills through tools such as Sketch, Figma, XD, etc.
- Strong collaboration skills— excited about building relationships with our global customers, but also internal teams such as customer success, marketing, and engineering.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your process and work and demonstrating user-centered design methods and principles, including quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Strong communication skills—can clearly articulate the “why” behind your design decisions to cross-functional teams; comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute work in a rapidly growing fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.
